How to Volunteer

The Civil Defence Commission Volunteer Corps (CDC VC) promotes Comprehensive Disaster Management in Guyana through volunteerism. CDC VC volunteers strongly agree that in the Disaster Risk Management field, volunteerism creates an opportunity for participation by all in preparing for disasters, mitigating impacts on communities and responding to devastation. Additionally, volunteering makes an imperative social and economic contribution, and although challenging, it affords individuals a rewarding experience.
 The CDC VC is inspired by volunteerism and values greatly the contributions made by volunteers in training, educating and mobilizing communities.
We are always willing to welcome new volunteers on board. You can become a member of the CDC VC by uplifting an application form from the CDC Office, Thomas Road, Thomas Lands, or by expressing your interest to us at:
