Members of the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God Guyana today donated ten (10) generators to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) to be utilized in disaster response exercises and operations.
The handover ceremony took place at the Commission’s Thomas Lands Headquarters where Director General, Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig, accepted the supplies. Mr. Craig lauded the donation and indicated that during times of emergency adequate and consistent power is of utmost importance. He added that whether the hazard is an oil spill or a flood, a functional power supply is a key component of the response effort.
