Chinese Embassy donates food items to Flood Relief Efforts

Today the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) received a quantity of flour and cooking oil from the Chinese Embassy in Guyana. Charge de Affaires of the Embassy, Mr. Xilar Chen presented the food items and indicated that the Embassy is happy to help now and in the future.

Receiving the supplies was Major Loring Benons, Deputy Director General of the CDC, who thanked the Embassy for their timely contribution. The CDC continues to partner with Non-Governmental Organisations to provide relief to flood impacted areas across Guyana.
