Captain Michael Andrews, Logistics Supervisor at the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), today received 600 rain boots and 1200 cloth masks from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Presenting the items were Director of Communication Mr. Latchman Bharat, and First Counselor of the Port of Spain Trinidad Mission, Mr. Wayne Barrow.
Mr. Barrow indicated that the items came from the Welfare and Humanitarian Department of the Church and that the cloth masks were made locally, helping to reduce unemployment during the pandemic. The religious entity has pledged to donate more rain boots and masks, along with heavy duty cots and large tents in the near future.
