The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) today received 150 boxes of Milex powdered milk and 125 sacks of Tropic Fresh soap powder from De Sinco Limited, in collaboration with Arla Foods.
Tropic Fresh’s Brand Manager, Ms. Annalisa Jagmohan, handed over the supplies. She indicated that the donation was made possible through Arla Foods’ Sustainability Platform Project which focuses on providing healthy, affordable food options globally. Ms. Jagmohan thanked the CDC for the work that they are doing and expressed her company’s pleasure in helping those in need.
Deputy Director General of the Commission, Major Loring Benons, accepted the supplies and thanked De Sinco Limited for their continued support. He added that the items given will aid residents tremendously.
The CDC maintains a collaborative effort with corporate Guyana through the National Flood Response so that those impacted can receive the support they need.
