East Coast Demerara Progressive Youth Organization donates to Flood Relief Effort

Pandit Suresh Singh, Leader of the East Coast Demerara Progressive Youth Organization (PYO), today donated 40 cases of drinking water and 72 boxes of surgical face masks to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC). The Pandit indicated that the Youth Organization was more than happy to assist the flood relief efforts. Accepting the donation was Major Loring Benons, Deputy Director General of the CDC, who added that the PYO also volunteers to help pack relief hampers. He said that the CDC is grateful for their continued support.

The Commission maintains partnership with several Civil Society institutions to ensure that aid is available for impacted households across Guyana.
