Ekereku, Cuyuni-Mazaruni (Region 7) receives flood relief supplies

The village of Ekereku in Cuyuni-Mazaruni (Region 7) today received a quantity of food hampers from the Civil Defence Commission (CDC). The community is impacted by the current floods, and along with assistance from the Regional Authorities and representatives from the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC), aid reached the residents.

The CDC continues to work with local authorities to monitor all flood prone sectors and to ensure that all flood affected residents across Guyana get the support they need during this time.
