The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) on Friday last received two cheques valued at G$500,000 each from local entities GENEQUIP and FARMSUP. The latter also donated one Canter to assist with transporting supplies. The vehicle is a temporary loan.
Receiving the donations was Captain Michael Andrews, Logistics Supervisor at CDC, who lauded the joint donations. Marketing Coordinator of both companies, Ms. Monique Tiwari, said that they are moved by the devastating effects of the flooding across Guyana and are happy to lend a helping hand and support the communities in need.
