GLDA helps flood affected livestock farmers in Region 5

The Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA) today distributed nutritional supplements to cattle farmers in several areas in Region 5. Rice bran, molasses, wheat middling and elephant grass were donated to farmers in Kokerite Savannah, Abary, Mahaicony and Mahaica Rivers, and Cane Grove. Additionally, veterinary treatment was rendered to sick and stressed animals in the areas.

Region 5 has been hard hit by the current floods and the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) along with other agencies such as the GLDA, have been continuously supporting affected residents.
