MoH, CDC conduct Mass Casualty Training

A five day Mass Casualty Training began yesterday at the CDC Headquarters in Thomas Lands. It is spearheaded by the Ministry of Health – Guyana and facilitated by the Commission. Participants from the Ministry, CDC, Guyana Prison Service – GPS, Guyana Police Force, Presidential Guard Service, GDF Guyana and Guyana Fire Service will engage in several facets inclusive of Scene Assessment and Reporting, Principals of Triage, Myths and Realities of Emergency Response, Incident Command Systems and more.

Field Exercises will also be conducted where mass casualty simulations will present realistic scenarios for the participants.
