Region 5 shelters receive flood relief supplies

The Mortice Primary School and CHF (Farmer’s Association) Building, two shelters established in Region 5, today received supplies from the Civil Defence Commission (CDC). Cleaning agents, hygiene products and cots are some of the items given to the shelters.

Managed by the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), the shelters are activated to provide immediate relief to impacted residents who have to be relocated. The items are enough for 60 persons but the CDC is prepared to provide more supplies should the need arise.
