Mr. Joel Trotman, former Rotary President and member of the Rotary Club of Demerara, yesterday donated a quantity of bleach and a cheque to the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) to aid the flood recovery effort.
100 gallons of bleach and a cheque valued G$500,000 were received by CDC’s Director General, Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig, who expressed gratitude for the supplies. The monetary donation was made possible by the Friends of Rotary while the cleaning supplies were a contribution to the Rotary Flood Relief Programme by the Guyana Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL).
