SUBJECT: Flooding in several regions of Guyana.
1. EVENT: As a result rainfall over the last 8 days, several areas in all ten (10) Regions of Guyana were reported to be flooded. The water levels at the four (4) locations in the East Demerara Water Conservancy (EDWC) have been recorded as follows:

2. PROGNOSIS: The Hydrometrological Services predicted mostly cloudy conditions with frequent showers, light rain and possible thunderstorms over regions 1 and 2, other regions can expect isolated showers. Rainfall is expected to be between 0 mm and 20.0 mm today, May 18, 2012.
