SUBJECT: Flooding in several regions of Guyana.
1. EVENT: As a result rainfall over the last 72 hours, several areas in Guyana were reported to be flooded. The water levels at the four (4) locations in the East Demerara Water Conservancy (EDWC) have been recorded as follows:

2. PROGNOSIS: The Hydrometrological Services predicted partly cloudy conditions becoming cloudy at times over all regions. However, isolated showers can be expected over regions 1 to 3 and 7. Additionally, outburst of thunder can be expected over some coastal and near inland areas. Rainfall is expected to be between 0 mm and 10.0 mm today, May 21, 2012.
