SUBJECT: Flooding in several regions of Guyana.
1. EVENT
As a result heavy rainfall over the last 84 hours, several areas in all ten (10) Regions of Guyana were reported to be flooded. The water levels at the four (4) locations in the East Demerara Water Conservancy (EDWC) have been recorded as follows:

2. PROGNOSIS: The Hydrometrological Services predicted partly cloudy conditions becoming cloudy at times with isolated showers and outburst of thunder over Regions 1 to 4 and 10. Mostly cloudy conditions with scattered showers in the afternoon hours are expected in the other regions. Rainfall is expected to be between 0.0mm and 15.0mm today, May 11, 2012.
