SUBJECT: Flooding in several regions of Guyana.
1. EVENT: As a result rainfall over the last 7 days, several areas in all ten (10) Regions of Guyana were reported to be flooded. The water levels at the four (4) locations in the East Demerara Water Conservancy (EDWC) have been recorded as follows:

2. PROGNOSIS: The Hydrometrological Services predicted partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers along regions 2 to 7 and 10. Other regions can expect generally fair weather. Rainfall is expected to be between 5 mm and 10.0 mm today, May 17, 2012.
